Starting Over: A New Chapter for This Blog

When I first started this blog, my focus was on motherhood self-care—helping moms carve out time for themselves, find balance, and prioritize their well-being. And while I still believe in all of that, life has shifted in a way I never fully expected.

My babies aren’t babies anymore. They’re tweens now, and suddenly, motherhood looks and feels completely different. The days of constant cuddles, bedtime stories, and being their favorite person have given way to mood swings, one-word answers, and the ever-present challenge of staying connected while giving them space.

No one really warned me about this part of motherhood—the in-between stage where your kids aren’t little anymore, but they’re not quite teenagers either. It’s a stage filled with growing independence, emotional ups and downs, and a whole lot of “figuring it out as we go.”

And honestly? Some days, it feels really lonely.

Why I’m Restarting This Blog

Self-care is still important, but right now, my biggest struggle isn’t just about finding time for myself—it’s about learning how to show up for my kids in a way that meets them where they are. It’s about understanding their world, navigating the eye rolls and silent treatments, and figuring out how to keep our bond strong even when they’re pushing me away.

So, I’m shifting the focus of this blog. Instead of just talking about self-care, I want this space to be a resource for moms like me—moms raising tweens and teens who are looking for guidance, support, and reassurance that they’re not alone in this.

A Learning Space for Moms Like Us

I don’t have all the answers, but I do have the experiences—the wins, the struggles, and the lessons learned along the way. I’ll be sharing those here, along with expert insights, practical resources, and real, honest conversations about what it’s like to parent through this stage.

Because let’s be real—this part of motherhood is tough. But we don’t have to go through it alone.

A Tool for Moms, Not Just a Blog

This blog isn’t just about my journey—it’s about creating a space where we can learn together. Whether you need tips on handling tween attitude, conversation starters to break through the silence, or just a reminder that you’re doing better than you think, I want this to be a place where you find something useful, something encouraging, something that makes you feel seen.

Motherhood is always evolving, and so is this blog. I hope you’ll join me in this next chapter, where we embrace the messiness, the challenges, and the beauty of raising tweens and teens—together.

Take it easy, momma. 💛
