Keys to a Healthy Lifestyle

Ever wonder why others look happier in life than others? I always believed that there’s two sides of the road in life. And whether you’re on the right or left side, you should just focus on your journey.

Yes, you read it right, I didn’t say RIGHT OR WRONG side of the road, because, let’s be honest, there’s no right or wrong in real life. The journey of life really have its UPs and DOWNs.

What’s important is you HAPPILY walk your life with RESPECT and COMPASSION to help others, when needed. Never look at others with JUDGMENT or JEALOUSY.

And the most important one, have someone you look up to guide you. Just as I mentioned above, with respect. I am a Catholic, therefore, I look up to God for guidance. This may vary depending on your religion. What’s important is you have someone to look up to.

With all these in consideration, let’s not forget:

What are those then?

1. Attitude in Life

This pertains on the way you look at life. It’s that boost of energy, inner strenght, passion to inspire others, fortitude and optimism in times of challenges. The result of this reflects from inside out. You never need to boast on anything as it will show for itself.

2. Physical

Your flexibility, strength and balance comes in here. You don’t need to look like any bodybuilder or someone from glossy magazine. Remember not to look at others.

It’s within you. What the fit and lean you are. Everyone is made unique. There has never been anyone just like you anywhere-ever! So be the best you can be physically. It’s for your own good.

3. Nutrition

This comes side-by-side with number 2. It always will and ever be. So make sure to watch what you put on your mouth.

As they say, you are what you eat. Another saying that I try to live by is:

               Eat like food is your medicine. Don't wait medicine to be your food.

4. Self-Care

Everything comes to you and yourself. Yes, you should practice compassion but, sometimes, you can, and supposed to be selfish, but for a purpose.

Have you ever ride a plane? I hope you listen when the stewards explains how those precautionary measures. Remember that part when they explain how to use the oxygen? You are to put yours on before helping others.

Yes! It doesn’t matter if you’re with an elderly or young kid or beside a stranger in need. You are to help yourself before helping others. That’s because if you run out of oxygen, you, yourself won’t have a chance to help.

The same thing is in life. The more you take care of yourself, the more you can take care of others. If you need to give yourself a kiss like the photo above, then please, do so!

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Life is a crossroads as I said and every time, I’m sure, you’ll encounter something that would stress you. In times you get to that edge, remember this things:

  • Breathe deeply
  • Remember how to 4 Keys to a Healthy Lifestyle
  • Pray
  • Smile =)

You might be wondering, is this important on my goal to fitness? Well, certainly. Our goal isn’t to look good physically. As mentioned, again and again, what we want to achieve is a lifestyle and not a short-term result.
